These grants offer up to £5,000 to support dance professionals to extend their dance career. Funding can be used for activities like short courses, training or other opportunities that help build your skills and increase your overall income. If you’d like to apply, please submit your details as soon as possible. Slots to discuss your idea with us will fill up fast, so it’s a good idea to get your name in early.
Am I Eligible for a Grant?
Applicants will-
• Have completed professional dance training or have experience that reflects a
similar standard.
• Work as a dancer and/or choreographer in the UK across genres including ballet,
contemporary, Black and Asian dance, and street dance predominantly within the
subsidised dance sector for at least five years since completing professional training.
• Have available savings of under £16,000 (evidence will be required).
What Happens After my Application Enquiry?
Someone will be in contact shortly to have a one-on-one conversation to discuss your ideas.
Your full application will then be due two weeks following your conversation.
The final date for submitting the contact form is Monday the 8th of June.
You will be notified of your application outcome by the 30th of July.
When Can I Start My Project?
Activity may begin from the 1st of September, 2026. You may not reapply until three years have passed from the date your activity finished.
