Our grants can help you with career progression within dance, such as professional teaching qualifications, dance notation, or short courses that will help you manage your freelance career. If you want to increase your income between dance engagements, we can help with costs to develop alternative skills.

Am I Eligible for a Grant?

Applicants will-
• Have completed professional dance training or have experience that reflects a
similar standard.
• Work as a dancer and/or choreographer in the UK across genres including ballet,
contemporary, Black and Asian dance, and street dance predominantly within the
subsidised dance sector for at least five years since completing professional training.
• Have available savings of under £16,000 (evidence will be required).

What Happens After my Application Enquiry?

Someone will be in contact shortly to have a one-on-one conversation to discuss your ideas.

Your full application will then be due two weeks following your conversation.

The final date for submitting the contact form is Monday the 9th of March.

You will be notified of your application outcome by the 30th of April.

When Can I Start My Project?

Activity may begin from the 1st of June, 2026. You may not reapply until three years have passed from the date your activity finished.
