Denise Perry
Upskilling Project Lead

Denise began her career as a commercial and contemporary dancer and choreographer, with a portfolio career that also included leading youth dance projects.
Awarded a London Arts Board bursary to train as a Dance Manager, she went on to produce a range of dance and immersive theatre companies and delivered an international festival featuring 53 artists across 3 commercial theatres.
Over the past 30 years, Denise has produced more than 200 contemporary dance performances, from New York and Tokyo to Albania and Lapland. Her work has included producing large-scale participation projects and she has represented Britain three times as a Cultural Entrepreneur selected by the British Council.
Passionate about supporting dance artists from all forms. Denise is both a RD1st and a Firework Career Change Coach. She has advised more than 400 artists throughout her career, including at Arts Council England as lead for dance development across the Southeast, as director of Survive in Dance, and as a career coach for Equity Charitable Trust.
Denise hold an MA in Arts and Cultural Management from University of Sussex.
